Circles & Gatherings

Sacred Threads offers smaller gatherings that focus on building connection around particular topics of shared interest. A variety of in-person and interactive online gatherings are intended  to encourage connection, discussion, sharing, and an honest flow of ideas. We offer a Service of Remembrance annually as well.

Gateways to Compassion:
Enneagram Foundations

Instructor: Liz Turnwald, M.Div, Certified Teacher of the Narrative Enneagram
When: Tuesday evenings from 6-8 pm EST on October 7, 14, 21, 28
Where: Zoom

Experience the dynamic map of personality known as the Enneagram. In this four-part series, we will dive deeply into each of the 9-type patterns, laying the groundwork for transformation, understanding, and greater compassion for self and others. This course will be taught through the Narrative Tradition, which centers your own experiences through sharing on type panels, participating in small groups, and engaging in self-reflective practices.

By the end of the series, you will:

  • Understand the worldview, motivations, habits, and patterns of the 9 types

  • Explore how the Enneagram can support growth in your relationships, work, and spiritual life

  • Engage psychology, spirituality, and somatics to build greater capacity for self-awareness and personal transformation

Women’s Circles of
Reflection & Dialogue

Women's Circles meet monthly in different locations within the state. Sacred Threads started six Women’s Circles, and they have met for an average of 10 years. These monthly groups offer a safe environment for women to connect on a deeper level and explore life’s big questions.  In Circle, all are committed to developing and maintaining the growth and life of the group. In Circles tailored to mothers, women support one another as they face the challenges of motherhood, marriage, and the formation of their young children in faith and values. As spaces of wisdom, contemplation, and compassion, whatever is shared is respected and held in confidence.
