JoeAnn’s writings bring to life a vivid cast of characters bound by loss and life on the margins of a society reshaped by climate change. Yet at its heart, her story is a tribute to compassion, resilience, and the enduring beauty of nature.
Come hear her poignant and timely ode to our changing world and leave inspired with a deep sense of compassion and hopefulness for our earth.

Compassion for the Marginalized
Thursday, November 20 at 12:15pm to 1:00pm ET
Join us for a conversation with Sr. Simone Campbell—religious leader, attorney, poet, and longtime advocate for systemic change. With decades in public policy, she champions issues that disproportionately affect women and communities of color.
In 2012, Sr. Simone gained national attention for organizing the Nuns on the Bus tour, opposing federal budget cuts to critical social programs. The tour sparked widespread response from faith communities, lawmakers, and the media.
Hear her passionate call for justice in healthcare, immigration, and economic equity—and be inspired to grow your own compassion and commitment to action on behalf of the marginalized.
