Spiritual Direction is a specific ministry for those who look to share one on one conversation with a trained and certified spiritual director to explore deeper relationships with the Holy. Often times, a spiritual director assists a person to reveal where the Holy interacts with her in life. This directed experience may provide an individual with the support, understanding, and clarity of mind needed to help recognize where the Holy “bumps up against us” in everyday life.
We offer retreat opportunities and are available to assist parishes, groups and faculties etc. who would like a retreat experience.
We provide professional counseling that is sensitive to relational and emotional issues, as well as to spiritual issues. This allows individuals to explore real life issues and concerns in the context of faith.
Workshops help participants explore specific spiritually based topics. Sacred Threads invites professionals to lead workshops and the Sacred Threads Team is available to offer workshops for various groups. Workshop fees are negotiable.
The Natick Group meets on the first Monday of the month.
The Walpole Group meets on the first Tuesday of the month.
The Westwood Group meets on Sundays.
These groups support one another as they face the challenges of motherhood, marriage, and the formation of their young children in faith and values. Newcomers always welcome!
What people are saying are about the Mothers’ Groups:
“There is definitely a power in women of faith gathering, just bringing the joys and challenges of their lives as women and mothers.”
“Thank you for bringing us together in this truly a sacred space, something so deeply needed by women and so often neglected by mothers. We all appreciate the sacred threads you have sown.”
Women’s Circles of Reflection & Dialogue
Women’s circles of reflection and dialogue have developed from a desire to connect with other women at a deeper level and share the deeper questions of life.
The Circles have become sources of wisdom, energy, contemplation and compassion. In Circle, all are committed to developing and maintaining the growth and life of the group.
In this safe environment, the balance of the Circle comes from speaking one’s own truth and listening to the truth in the hearts of one’s peers. Whatever is shared is respected and held in confidence. If you are interested in starting a new circle, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Currently, Women’s Circles of Reflection & Dialogue meet in
- Lynnfield area
- Sharon area
If interested in beginning a Circle, please contact Rosemary or Marie.
What women are saying about their experience of Circles:
“I have always been inspired by the group of women we call “Our Circle”. Over time, we have gone much deeper in our relationships. When we gather it is a time of joy and comfort. Our circle is all I’ve hoped for, prayed for and much, much more.”
“After my husband died, our Circle showed me such kindness, understanding and support. I thank God and will be forever grateful that I am part of this group of exceptional women. It always amazes me how open we are with each other. This is truly a safe place.”
We are delighted to work with engaged couples; assisting them with marriage preparation, providing guidance for wedding ceremonies and officiating at their wedding. A spiritual dimension is significant in all aspects of wedding guidance. Fees are negotiable.
Life is full of a balance of joy and sorrow, delight and sadness, and each person’s experience of those realities is different. Sacred Threads looks to connect people who are experiencing moments of significant transition with one another, while offering resources and outlets for continued support, e.g. loss and grief, caregivers, or retirees.
